OIL COMPANY SPILLAnother oil company spill and we still have politicians trying to protect the oil companies, unbelievable. This morning I was flipping through the channels when I came upon “The Daily Rundown” On MSNBC. Now I will tell you up front I think the media coverage of this assault on our coastlines has been less then stellar, and I am being kind.
It is as if the media seem more obsessed with the number of times The President goes down to the Gulf then what he is doing once he is down there. It is as if it is a game for them.
At first he wasn’t down there enough, then it was he wasn’t mad enough, now it’s why didn’t he go to places where there was more oil spilled, its ridicules. Maybe if the supposedly serious media stopped acting like a grocery store tabloid and started writing and reporting on real stories that matter to real people this country would be better off.
What ever happened to real reporters, the kind that did their jobs right down the middle without bias? Today everyone has an agenda, be it CNN, MSNBC, and that propaganda channel FOX NEWS.
Anyway, I’m watching the “The Daily Rundown” and they have Rep. John Shadegg on, and when he started talking, I could not believe my ears. Here we are in the mist of a full-blown assault on our shores by oil, and he his out there defending more drilling off shore.
It should be clear to everyone by now that the last thing we need right now is more deep water drilling. How can the people of this country expect BP to take the threat of having to pay for the damage it’s done to this country seriously when we have smiling politicians shilling for them.
This is not only an insult on the memories of the people who lost loves ones, and the rest of the people of the coast, but it should be a crime.
