America- Land Haves and Have - Nots

The real America is nothing like the idea of America, far from it. The idea is red, white, and blue and apple pie the thought that when times get tough all Americans come together, and even though we are different we some how are able to get along with little or no friction.

America the richest country on earth, the big brother to the world, always there to lift another country up or offer a helping hand, you know deep down all Americans are basically good with the exception of a few out wires, right.

That is the idea of America, the America the politicians, the wealthy, (not all, but most), the major corporations, the corporate lobbyist, this is the America they want the world to see. The fact that it is nothing like the real America does not matter, as long as they can sale it to the rest of the world that is all that matters.

Here’s what the real America looks like high unemployment with no light at the end of the tunnel, racism, I know we just elected a black President, well one man doesn’t end the mind set of a country the was founded on the backs of slaves, but that is an article for a different day.

We have a government that does not work and gets nothing done, but that has a lot to do with the hacks that hold offices now. We have a two party system but the members of both parties are more interested in getting re-elected then getting anything done.

Honestly, the only time anything ever gets done is during an election year, and then it is usually something minor that the average person does not benefit from. We have a politician offering his apology to an oil company executive as that executive’s company, due to it’s negligent destroys are gulf coast, this is the real America.

Yet this same politician can voted against helping the suffering middle class people of his country, in his city, I his state, but as long as the big oil money keeps rolling in who cares about the people being tossed from there homes without warning, people going hungry, as politicians play political games.

They like to talk about American exceptionalism, but frankly, the only thing exceptional aboAmerica right now is how long we have been able to pull the wool over the rest of the world’s eyes. Some people are going to get mad, I can hear them now “Well if America is so bad just leave.”

No I’m doing what I’m supposed to do as a citizen of this country…speaking out maybe if more people spoke out these lazy crooked politicians would earn their money, but that’s not going to happening and I’ll tell you why.

It doesn’t matter what a politician does or doesn’t do when it’s not an election year, all he or she has to do is when the election year rolls around is get on television for a few months acting like the middle class is their best friend, and like trained seals, people will vote them back in to do nothing for another 4 or 6 years and they know it.

People protesting against there own best interest because some millionaire fat cat told them it was bad for them and like trained monkeys; they believed it. This is the real America, low information voters; sound bit voters, race voters, and the issues are the last thing on the list that they care about.

Here we are in America 2010 and millions of people actual believed that at some point, this government was going to form death panels to kill old people, and with that I will end this article because what more can I add then that.
